Peachy Keen Challenge 28

I admit it, I've gotten addicted to stamps. Now everytime I go into a craft store I leave with stamps. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the green edge, my Cricut to cut out the ovals, flowers, and circles for the centers of the flowers. I used flourish stamps and green ink for the background, PK basic faces for the flower centers, and "live, laugh, love" stamps for in the oval.

The words I chose for this card have a special meaning for me now. My mother in law lost her battle with cancer 2 weeks ago, a reminder of just how short life can be. So my goal is to live like there's no tomorrow, laugh often, and love; because there's no telling how much time we've got.

Peachy Keen Challenge 27

Another challenge, and the only crafting I can find time (barely) to do. The color scheme worked wonderfully for me for a mother's day card (purple is my mom's favorite color). The actually design gave me fits, I knew what I wanted to do, but didn't quite know how to pull it together. Thankfully my new Peachy Keen stamps arrived to save the day, that birdie is PERFECT for what I wanted to do.

Peachy Keen Challenge 26

The requirements for this challenge were this:
*Stitching (either by sewing needle or hand-drawn)
*White and Orange (card could have more colors, but must include these two in the card)
*Contain one upcycled item (something that could be thrown away but instead will make its way onto your work of art!)
*Any Peachy Keen Stamp

This challenge was very difficult for me, mostly because I REALLY don't like orange...except in fall (halloween, leaves, etc). But I figured I could try. Upcycled items...hmmm, I made everything out of scraps, some were barely big enough for the cuts, but I made it work.

Peachy Keen Challenge 25

As soon as I saw the sketch for this challenge this card appeared in my head, and I couldn't get it out. One of my newest obbsessions is glossy, and metallic paper, and this card has a lot of it. I used a MS punch on a metalic gunmetal strip, used black glossy for the frames and the couple cutout, embossed pearlized white, and the flower (layered using pop dots) and the word "Love" is made from glossy magenta. A small orange cicle with orange Distress Stickles, and I called it done.

Same card, but a different angle so the colors show better.

My first challenge ever. Used Cricut's Forever Young cartridge for the flower, and PK-570 for the face.

Easter Basket Card

Here's my simple Easter card. It measures 5"x7". The basket and eggs were cut using my Cricut Expression and the Doodlecharms cartridge (used DesignStudio) to do some stretching)and the grass was cut from Plantain Schoolbook. The eggs were embossed using my Cuttlebug with the folders: D'vine Swirls, Victoria, Swiss Dots, and Spots and Dots (I think is the name). A little ribbon along the basket and it was done.
